Getting Around

Government and Private Bus Services link the City Centre and the broader Newcastle & Lake Macquarie areas. Within the CBD, a free bus service operates seven days a week between the hours of 7.30 am and 6 pm, and enables you to travel for free on all State Transit buses within a designated city zone.

Ferries regularly run to and from the city centre and historic Stockton.  Details of Government bus & ferry services can be found at Newcastle Buses and Ferries website.

Port Stephens Coaches will take you to fabulous Nelson Bay while Newcastle Taxis (phone 133300) will run you anywhere.
